Privacy Policy: Chat Data & Session Security

Last Updated: April 12, 2026

Cliyer AI acts as the Data Controller for your account and billing information under UK data protection laws.

1. Data Isolation & Processing

Our service uses a one-session-per-chat architecture for isolated model inference.

  • Private Environments: Each chat session runs in an isolated, dedicated inference engine instance.
  • Transient Processing & Persistence: Chat data is processed in real-time to generate responses. To provide a seamless experience, your chat history is automatically saved to your account via our secure database. This allows you to access your conversations across sessions. You can delete individual chats or your entire history at any time.
  • No Training: We do not use your prompts, chat logs, or any user-provided data to train our own models or any third-party models.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the service:

  • Account Information: Email address and billing details (processed securely via Stripe).
  • Usage Metadata: Technical logs including engine session duration, model selections, and timestamps to ensure accurate billing.
  • Chat Logs: Transcripts of your prompts and engine responses are stored in our database with encryption at rest to provide your chat history.
  • Device and Network Information: Including IP addresses and browser types, used for security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Session Deletion: When a chat session ends or the engine instance is terminated, the transient memory within that specific compute session is wiped.
  • Chat History Deletion: You can delete your chat logs via the application interface. Once deleted, this data is removed from our active databases.
  • Account Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account at any time. Upon request, we will remove all associated personal data and stored logs from our systems within 30 days.

4. Security Measures

We implement industry-standard protections to safeguard your data:

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption.
  • Infrastructure Security: Our backend runs on secure, industry-leading infrastructure providers which maintain high standards for network and application isolation.

5. Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with essential service providers:

  • Infrastructure & Inference: Secure application hosting and backend model processing via our infrastructure providers.
  • Database & Persistence: Real-time data syncing and chat history storage via our database providers.
  • Payments: Stripe for secure transaction processing.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases: Contractual necessity, legitimate interests (security and abuse prevention), and legal obligations.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, please contact us at .

8. Cookies & Tracking

We may use essential cookies or similar technologies to maintain sessions and ensure the proper functioning of the Service. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect or process data from individuals under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside the United Kingdom by our infrastructure and payment providers. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is protected in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
